The Gift of Recovery program is designed to provide tools and resources for our members to do what they have done since the beginning of Groups, share recovery with their loved ones and community members.
Now it’s easier than ever for members to share the Gift of Recovery, right from the app! Here’s how it works:
- Log in to your Groups app.
- Click “Share” in the Gift of Recovery widget on the home screen.
- Share it on social media or through text or email. Your friend will be directed to a landing page to learn about groups and request information.
- If a new member signs up for Groups through the program, we’ll donate $100 to our 2024 Shatterproof Walk Team. Shatterproof is a nationwide organization dedicated to reversing the addiction epidemic.

Why do members share Groups with other people?
You may know people who are interested in starting their recovery journeys. By sharing Groups as a resource, you’re letting them know about a unique treatment model that works. Groups is different from other programs because it combines medication, group therapy, and help meeting important needs like housing, health care, and employment.
While members share Groups with their loved ones every day, sharing through the Gift of Recovery program gives back to the community. For every new member who signs up through the program, we’ll donate $100 to Shatterproof. They’re a nonprofit group working to end addiction stigma and expand treatment options for those who need it most.
Will I know when my friends or family members sign up for Groups?
No. To protect the privacy of new members, you won’t be alerted when someone signs up with your link. However, you’ll be able to see how much money we’ve raised in the Groups app. As more new members join, the number will go up!
Can I share Groups without using my link?
You can share Groups however feels right for you! However, new members will need to use your link to be a part of the Gift of Recovery program. If you’re interested in fliers, bracelets, or other physical materials, reach out to your care team.
What if the program isn’t working correctly in the app?
Let your care team know. They can reach out to our IT team to figure out what’s going on.
